Stainless “stell” , Yes Stell Not Steel?
I bought a knife recently, its a Black Finger 777 Automatic Out the Front, and it says Stainless Stell , is this just a misprint? If so , then the entire line of them are misprinted. The knife is quite amazing actually ,very fast opening, hard spring and very sharp.
Does anyone have a good answer to this?

I’m not sure. I’ve found a couple of listings of ’stainless stell’ items under a google search, but they all look like spelling errors or bad translations. One even lists an item as stainless stell, but the web address is stainless steel. I think your knife may have been manufactured overseas & they didn’t have a good translation. I can find no definition of stell anywhere & it shows up as an error in spell checker.
translations aren’t always great. take, for example, a knife made in Korea with a label that says “Warning! Keep out of children!”
